Week 14.....Victory week.
After two weeks of hacking away endlessly at the cavern wall of optimization and linearization, I have finally struck gold, and let me tell you, it feels good. It's not just the test score that feels good, don't get me wrong, (although that is quite a perk) it is the fact that I understood something as complicated as our current subject of study well enough to take a test, not second guess each of my answers, and not be horrified by its result.
Perhaps I'm over-celebrating, and maybe this analysis of the week is a little optimistic because it was a snow day today, and I got accepted into a lovely college, and I had lots of tea and fudge, but I think that a little celebration is due.
Now, with the upcoming test I am feeling much more confident than before. I needed to review optimization, as well as brushing up on my vintage, pre-trimester-shift Chapter 4 material, but I hope that, like derivatives and limits, it has just been adapted into my Calculus vocabulary and is a bit automatic. After this long and arduous chapter, I am very much looking forward to starting something new.
I have been thinking a lot about the AP Test lately, and am realizing that my senior year is going at an exciting, yet terrifying pace. It's already Winter Break, and I sometimes still write the date as 5-3-12 on my papers sometimes. I am trying desperately to mentally review the material we have covered so far, and the tests with review questions on them have been a giant aid in that. Thanks for your help this half or third or whatever-this-is of the year.
Until Next Year,
Mia
